1. Purpose of the Fayette Together Neighbors Network Program
The purpose of the Neighbors Network Program is to provide community members with meaningful volunteer opportunities to support the organization’s mission through service, outreach, advocacy, and event participation. The program is designed to foster connection, shared ownership, leadership development, and long-term engagement with Fayette Together.
2. Types of Network Opportunities
Events
Event volunteers assist with planning, organizing, and executing Fayette Together sponsored or partnered events. Responsibilities may include setup, registration, coordination with community partners, and post-event wrap-up.
Ambassadors
Ambassadors serve as visible representatives of Fayette Together. They share information about the mission, programs, and values through networking and community engagement. Ambassadors work in coordination with the Board of Directors and may represent Fayette Together at community events, meetings, and collaborations.
Specialists / Expertise
Specialists are volunteers with specific skills, talents, or professional expertise that support Fayette Together’s work. Examples include marketing, communications, graphic design, website development, finance, legal or tax consultation, facilitation, and research. These volunteers may work on short-term or ongoing projects as needed.
Collaborators / Community Liaisons
Collaborators serve as liaisons between Fayette Together and other organizations or institutions. These volunteers help build partnerships, share resources, and identify opportunities for collaboration with groups such as civic organizations, schools, faith-based groups, museums, and service clubs.
3. Roles and Responsibilities
• Support Fayette Together events, programs, and projects.
• Collaborate with Board and fellow Neighbors Network members.
• Uphold and promote the Vision, Mission, Values and Guiding Principles of Fayette Together.
• Serve as positive representatives of the organization within the community.
• Complete assigned tasks with integrity, accountability, and teamwork.
4. Requirements
• Must be supported and endorsed by a Fayette Together Board Member.
• Commitment to the Vision, Mission and Values of Fayette Together.
• Willingness to collaborate and work with others.
• Support of Fayette Together’s Guiding Principles.
• Neighbors Network members of all ages are welcome; individuals under eighteen (18) must have parental or guardian consent.
5. Engagement and Communication
To maintain strong engagement and connection, Fayette Together will:
• Hold periodic meetings with Neighbors Network and Board members.
• Conduct project or event debriefs to gather feedback and improve future efforts.
• Maintain a dedicated Neighbors Network page on the Fayette Together website.
• Share updates and recognition through social media platforms.
• Include Neighbors Network members in press releases and community announcements when appropriate.
• Publish a quarterly newsletter for Board and Neighbors Network members.
• Host an annual appreciation dinner or recognition event.
